Cheryl R. Ginsburg

For over a decade, I have enjoyed helping my clients with a wide range of legal problems, serving as a trusted advisor and advocate. I feel deeply invested in each client’s case, and take pleasure in working together with clients to formulate and execute effective strategies to reach a successful result. Nothing is better than being able to tell my clients: we’ve saved your home, you now own the home of your dreams, your landlord-tenant issues have been resolved.
My areas of practice have primarily involved real estate transactions and litigation. In particular, I have extensive experience representing landlords and tenants in litigation, including commercial and residential holdover and nonpayment proceedings. I regularly address disputes involving rent stabilization and rent control including non-primary residence, succession rights and illegal subletting. Always aware that the client’s home or business is at stake, I give each case my utmost attention.
In addition to my litigation practice, I represent sellers, purchasers, landlords, tenants, lenders and borrowers for the purchase and sale of single and multi-family properties, financing and commercial leasing transactions. I negotiate and draft contracts of sale, leases, and loan agreements, and handle all aspects of the closing. Understanding how stressful the process of buying or leasing can be, I pride myself on taking the time to speak with clients to guide them through the transaction, answering their questions and concerns and making it as seamless as possible.
I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brandeis University in 2001, magna cum laude, and a Juris Doctor from Fordham University School of Law in 2005. Upon graduation from law school, I joined the firm of Zingman & Associates PLLC (under its former name of Stern & Zingman LLP) because, like me, the members of the firm value each client as an individual.
I look forward to working with you.
